In the beginning there were lesser joysticks, then arrived TAC-2.

I'm highly disappointed on the games that come with the console. only a few are cool, most is just garbage and they should have added better titles. Especially for that price!

WOW so many memories are coming back from the mid-80s.
I'll never forget all the long wars (and broken joysticks) I had with my friends playing Pitstop, IK+, Emlyn Hughes International Soccer or Ikira Warriors....etc.
I also remember Action Replay's Warp25 loader, which allowed games to boot in less than 10 seconds.
Good times π
Now my kids think PS4 graphics are crap LOL
C-Power
I still have the original one sitting in a cupboard, including memory expansion card with "GUI" lol.
Checked if it was working about half a year ago, on my 50" TV, worked like a charm - played some winter Olympics, Boulderdash, it was awesome, good old memories and nostalgia π
Not sure If i'd shell out for this "new" one tho... hmmm
Edit;
The only game i'd really play from this new one would be California Games, such an awesome title - spent hours on the game with the ball that you had to keep up high, making some 360 spins for points haha - forgot the name of it lol

From the list of games coming with this remake I had loved Speedball 2 Brutal Deluxe (super-fun with my brother and friends) and Impossible Mission, others not that much.
But nothing can come close, not even near, the original. Still have them two in working condition + DataSette 1531 + Commodore 1541 5.25" FDD + Final Cartridge II + lots of tapes and 5.25" disks (but not sure all of them still work after all this time, especially tapes) + few QuickShot II joysticks, Kempston joystick, Star LC-10 printer... One C=64 is pesonally my own fat C=64 (older SID audio chip, but for my taste it has much better sound) and another one is newer version slim white (fugly if you ask me) that was rescued from the destructable hands of my wife's brother.
Sorry but not gonna buy this one, no way this replica can give me such pleasure and joy of playing old games that had made my childhood so f**ing great π

Ah, found it ! π

^^^^ Prettiest one, no doubt! Same Dattasete... HH why did you drilled such a big hole on Datasette, that one for screwdriver? I know it's for azimuth adjusting, but half smaller hole would be more than enough... My C=64 is Made in UK, smuggled back in mid '80 in cockipit of a JAT airplane (by main pilot of course, no one was checking them backthen) from UK to former Yugoslavia. We couldn't import these things legaly back in '80 to Yugoslavia.
HH, do you challenge me to dig mine from boxes in the basement of my house!? π

Not sure if the hole was original or not, but the C64 was gifted to me many years ago, it should be in working order. Your story sounds way better though.
And yes, I showed you mine now show me yours ... ehrm .. well the C64 that is ! π

^^^ All these great old things wrapped into nylon bags...
Lets take a closer look, hmmmm... One QuickShot joystick from C=64 era and ine QuickJoy joystick also, but both modded (myself of course) for PC to connect via Midi/Game Port), one old Sony PlayStation... Oh, well there you are!!! 20 years or so old photo album of my ex gf's (I was always weak at blondes lol) well hidden from the eyes of other old gf's and my lady, time to show it to my sons so that they know a bit better who were candidates for their moms hahaha

And now BIG GUNS!!! Bottom right is heavy artillery: my mistress, Amiga 500 512MB + 512MB expansion. Few QuickJoy II Turbo SV-124 joysticks, bottom left is my beloved fatty C=64, top left us C=64 saved refugee from the room of my wife's brother. Didn't have enough time (and spiders and their nets) to dig a bit more for Commodore 1541 5.25" FDD, Star LC-10 printer, think I have optocaplep 300bps modem for C=64 also which I was using to connect local BBS (Ecstasy BBS), lits of games on tapes, 5.25" FDD's for C=64 and 3.5" FDD's for A500 and God knows what not

Btw Hilbert that hole of yours isn't much bigger than mine, I mean azimuth adjustment hole on Datasette 1531, what else π I've driled it a bit to become a bit bigger but don't remember I've drilled it to become so big. Oh... good old days... when we are younger we want bigger holes and as we become older we want smaller holes, I was thinkin on that hole on Datasete 1531... lots of dirty thoughts here π
OK The Laughing Ma: you want it - you got it!!!
Here is my ancient arsenal from the basement, just digged it few minutes ago, as I thouht they were in the box on the BOTTOM of the huge pile of boxes. Btw, there is no more spiders and spider nets down there: I've picked them all with my head/hair lol
Now lets se what we have there..

The Commodore 64 was my most loved computer of all time. Who doesn't remember the spine-tingling feeling of listening for the first time to the theme songs from games like Cybernoid (by the Maniacs Of Noise), Cybernoid 2 (by Jeroen Tel), The Last Ninja (by Ben Daglish) and so many others? I used to program in assembly for it and at a time I knew most of the opcodes by heart plus how many cycles the 6510 CPU needed to execute them. Those were the days.

man you guys are computer geeks from way back!...cool stuff/ history!

Heh played around on other peoples Commodore 64's and Amiga's at the time. Never owned my own, had a nes, snes and my first PC a Cyrix 486 DX2-66.
We had one at school though, used to put games on it. I remember California Games and its wonky controls. π
