Where can I get more information about these XD caps? They were even on the 880G+ boards so...

Pretty much my experience with them as well. I wouldn't say they're bad but I definitely wouldn't put one in a gaming PC. Perfectly acceptable and well priced for some beat-around desktop for daily activities.

when the Sands Bridge 2600k came out, Biostar had one one of the best boards for it and over clocked it superbly. I always labeled them like everyone else does but the reviews and useage from sites like overclock.net had it going amazing. it's still running my box just like a $250+ asus board would be running it. I would look at reviews 1st before buying but I don't ever just label them as turds anymore.

i had 2 really great experience with Biostar: -one with an X58 board for a friend, this board were 100Euro less than Asus and do lot more with an impresive finish. the board is still working with an i7X on heavy OC (part of my team in WoWS) -and the other with a cute tiny itx 1155 with everything that we have now on an itx board but that were exeptional feature at this time, same nice finish (despite not too fon of orange lol) but good quality and OC. it's like ASrock, it's a brand not too much know but really innovative

This board reminds me of my old (back in 2003 old) Asus P4S533-X, with SDRAM DIMM and DDR support. Such a lame motherboard. I'm not a fan of this kind of "hybrid" memory support.
