agree with both previous postings. side note: the reason many companies go for fake HDR is simply cosmetics. a proper *full array* of leds (the cheapest way to achieve HDR) is not expensive, but it does require a chunkier set. i can only imagine how blue those over-driven leds are in the BenQ.

Yeah, and this is another HDR monitor (same 300 cd/m² brightness) released 15 years ago: https://www.cnet.com/products/diamond-plus-74sb-17-inch-crt-monitor/specs/ I am wondering why monitor manufacturers are still getting away with blatantly lying to customers. HDR means high dynamic range of luminosity. HDR label SPECIFICALLY requires increased brightness. Without increasing luminosity you can't have high dynamic range of colours. This is the reason why minimum requirement for HDR LCD panel is 1000 cd/m².

Dammit....ive been waiting for a 34" ultra wide exactly like this but with full HDR....what is going on? Is it that hard to make a full HDR gaming monitor? I will still keep my eye on this and see the price.
