So are companies using HDR to mean 10 bit panels instead of actual HDR which requires extra nits? 300 seems a low value for brightness.

" 300 cd/m² brightnes" For HDR does it not need to be WAY higher or did I just not READ it all lol Same kind of question Ruiner13 asked

2018.04.07 can we get clarification/explanation why +30" displays are not 120 and 240Hz refresh rates... except those produced in South Korea? btw ? us$500, 800, or 1200 retail ? weight ? display port 1.4 was published two years ago... 32.4 vs 48 Gb/s (in hdmi 2.1 [2017.01.04 for 8k res @ 50Hz) , dp 1.2 is nine years old (09.12.22) and is only 17 Gb/s, dp1.3 (14.09.15) HBR3 mode was 32 Gb/s enough for 4k uhd @ 120 Hz.

Big TV's do have higher nits but then you are also several meters further away. I'm not sure if it's viable with a monitor to have such strong brightness so close to your face.

Guess you have to buy the $2500 screen then. If you have hardware to push those frames 😛

When the 20XX cards get a 7nm refresh i will buy 2 of the best and SLI them. But for now i will carry on using my single RTX 2080. As for the $2500 Asus PG27UQ... f*** that noise (meaning the high pitched active cooling fan in the back of it). I'll wait until we get a 4k HDR 144hz monitor for 1500 or cheaper. It'll happen eventually. Just gotta play the waiting game.
