this download policy of gaming is fine if you have fiibre internet in your area but not everyone can get fibre fast internet thats why i need retail discs but this game is nightmare for me in u.k i live in a village and my download speed is 256kps and no fibre in my area which is terrible service from BT , also this game you can only buy it as a download on amazon 50gb take me 5 days to download it so i had order a copy on ebay , but that is not even dispatched yet on 22nd, and now with this 3.5gb patch it looks like it be weekend before i be even able to play it

It's nature and fresh air VS pollution and technology, you can't have both 🙂 Stop playing and go enjoy the wilderness!

Ok it is bad enough that the game is close to 50GBs but a 3.5Gb patch it better fix any game breaking bugs it may have.

The pre-load is 33gb mate, not too bad considering some other releases. Pretty standard nowadays 🙂

If that's the only internet you can get you may want to look into satellite....

Wow, how far from the exchange do you live? I'm on ADSL but I average around 1.8mb/sec download speed. Unless you live miles from your exchange you should get an engineer out to get the line checked etc. I also live in the UK countryside (Hampshire).

Looking at the report todays, whatever is the brand whatever is the gpu's, the game is unbelievably bugged on performance side, crash, bugs in all genre , on stutter side, forget SLI, and the most funny for the end: 30fps cap, who could be understandable as you could not even go much higher with a TitanX at 1080p .. I suggest to everyone who have a cap limit on their ADSL / Fiber, to stop download it and take some informations about the game state before burn your quota.
Regardless which side of that argument you fell on, early testing of Rocksteady’s Arkham Knight on PC seems to indicate that the game is currently a mess for both Nvidia and AMD customers. ... littered with complaints about stuttering, terrible optimization, crashes, and a variety of other issues. Several gamers are complaining about memory leaks and a framerate well below 30fps even with GameWorks options turned off, 1080p resolution, and components that exceed Rocksteady’s recommended requirements. I’ve seen multiple customers claiming they can’t maintain 60fps (after unlocking the framerate) at 1080p with flagship cards like Nvidia’s $999 Titan X or the recently released 980 Ti. Another issue highlighted by users on NeoGaf: Nvidia’s “Game Ready” 353.30 driver for Batman: Arkham Knight seems to contradict its own title within its release notes, since it’s bad news for users with multiple Nvidia cards in SLI: ......

You should petition Gigaclear and rally support for Fibre - I did, and now look Wendy, I can fly (1 gig Fibre Symmetric) What's best is, Gigaclear do not block anything or throttle/profile anything, it's just raw speed 'baby, 24/7 - unlimited link

Well I got it free from the purchase of my 980ti...shame really as i actually don't like these types of games and would have been much happier with the Witcher 3 that they quickly pulled on the release of the Ti. Ah well, 33gb downloaded this morning and I'll give it a go at some point, but not likely this week with Heavensward being released.

i live 4 miles from the exchange in norfolk u.k theres nothing wrong with my line its just the fact B.T are not laying the fibre cables in my area because its not business viable for profit, theres is a government scheme but im not in that area also ,so i probably be stuck on 256kps download for another 5 years , i should get my batman game delivered before weekend then i will just leave my pc on overnight downloading the patches , normally you only get 75% of the game on retail games so probably i have download 6gb or somethging it take 7 or 8 hours so i leave it overnight thats how i save it stress me out sleep while it download lols

no if its more than one disc u get it be lot more than 7gb , you get 7gb or 9gb on each disc so i would say that is wrong unless its only one disc, steam sometimes wont install from discs and trys download game , if i open it up and theres only one disc i send it back and get a refund
