nice, but I'd wait at least a year before getting a qd oled monitor.see more options and lower prices.1300 is a lot,I know it's oled but still.

OLED technology is rather old, but my understanding is that yields are rather bad so it will take a bit for prices to be within the 500 dollar range.

Why you guys are so confident that ur apprehension isn't from the chance of getting a gradual burn-in ; rather it is from possible astronomical price tag?
Why? Am i missing something?

This monitor is looking really cool and it's unique. I have never seen such small OLED gaming monitor with 34 inches in diameter. However, is it good idea to have OLED monitor for gaming and daily use? I believe that during daily use there will be lot of static images which might be problematic for this panel and it may have burned pixels after warranty expires. Even in games you often have HUD with static elements which might be devastating for the panel in long term use. What do you think guys? Do you think that modern OLED technology does not have this problem anymore? Let me know.

I'm gona jump bandwagon as soon as 27" OLED monitors start to pop . above 32" for me is not a monitor its a TV.

If you decide to spend 1300 on a monitor, you are probably the person that in 3 years is in love with another monitor and do not care about burn-in because is just buying a new monitor.
I think this it the target audience for this screen.

oled. not great for perfect colour accuracy but for gaming its awesome.
the contrast ratio is amazing , cant run screen at max brightness its actually hurts your eyes if you do.
best upgrade for visuals isnt ray tracing it isnt 4k its moving to oled. you get more of a visual upgrade going oled than anything else. Brings new life into old games.

Given the choice in playing oled 1920x1080 vs ips or va 4k i pick 1920x1080 oled any day. People are so focused in screen res they loose sight of game content and how that content is being displayed.

To be honest this is the first PC monitor in years that is really, really interesting and the price is not that bad. Looking forward for the review.

When I bought my Alienware AW3420DW almost 2 years ago, I took a huge gamble as I never had (or even seen one in person) an ultrawide and/or curved screen before. It took about 2 days of adjusting myself to it but I loved it ever since. If you keep it close to you, the immersion is real and it's awesome. I honestly can't see myself going back to 16:9. The curve is very subtle and the build quality is solid.
That being said, I'm excited and looking forward to this oled version of what is essentially my current monitor. I'm curious if the visual gain will be worth the upgrade. As I too prefer to keep this resolution and high refresh as a more balanced approach to image quality (over something like 4k 60 fps ro 1080p 300 fps...).
It depends a lot on how it looks in reviews, price and availability. I've had many experiences with Dell monitors RMA in the past and each one of them was very positive. So I'm less worried if there is a risk of technical issues, which I expect will exist, considering how unique this monitor is.

i played with this last Friday @ Dell Enterprise Technical.
it is amaze-balls. i only got to play w/ it for an hour but it is far better than i thought it would be.
it is simply the best implementation of HDR (for monitors) to date.
it is pricy but let's hope Samsung gets their yield issues straightened out.
and btw... burn-in is not an issue for gamers. if you were running stock tickers 24/7 maybe, but that ain't gaming.
