Shame they never released a Chromax version.

Chromax version would have been looking like 80% of the concurent (despite the better cooling)... Also the beige/brown mean "Cool this is a Noctua" and fit with the Noctua keyboard and Noctua case that exist too. To have seen a 3070 with it, the cooler is REALLY big and impressive and, of course, do the job in silence. I hope that Asus will follow this line in future.

I don't practice transparent case panels, just like I don't practice transparent car hoods, so Noctua fans are fine for me. The price premium a graphics card like this boasts, though, would be less welcome. The 3070 version costs as much as ROG Strix.

Ah I bought the 3070 version just a few days ago because I didn't think Asus would do another card with Noctua. Oh well, roll on 4000 series... Things are always moving forward.

The 3070 Noctua version was going for €745 in my country about 2 months ago, i still didn't get it cuz of the brown as i have a black/white build.

I paid 700 UK dosh which is about 820 Yuros. 745 is on the cheap side for the big Noctua.

Kinda of late to release this one now... And to use the older 10gb version instead of the 12gb is even worse...

this is one of my favorite gpu designs, i would like a more industrial look with full Noctua colors, but you can't have it all

You need to add more than 100 euros to that to get one over here!

Main problem is that it seems to whole eat 4 slots.. and so its not wonder that cooling is better in comparison with 2 slots cards.

To be fair though, most two-slot cards are defacto three anyways.

I wonder if the backplate is required, the 3070 version doesn't seem to have pads on it. But it may be needed to secure the part of the VRM heatsink. Cuz otherwise you could simply deshroud it to get rid of the brown, but still benefit from the beefy heatsink.

I very much hope they have a 4070 / 4080 version of this with Chromax fans. If this wasn't coming out so close to the next gen GPU's I may have picked it up. I also would love to see Asus build a version with a dual BIOS switch that has stock mode then an undervolted mode to nail the efficiency curve. I bet for a small percentage of performance loss one could get these to pull much less wattage.
