I don't know man, with bigger competition over 4k, I wouldn't be surprised we get much cheaper 4k IPS 60hz monitors than overpriced 1440 144hz IPS monitors.

I think there are a lot of people that want +100Hz, over higher resolution. Me personally I'm still on 60Hz 1440p IPS and I can't get constant 60 FPS in a lot of games if I max out, so the higher refresh rates only make sense if you are willing to turn down some settings to actually use those Hz's. What really makes these monitors so expensive is g-sync/free-sync tech. If there would be 4K monitors with g-sync/free-sync, then you can bet those would be super expensive. 🙂 I was REALLY tempted to get that ASUS 1440p 160Hz monitor (and the the 21:9 34" Acer Predator) when it came out like 1-2 months ago, but not only is it very expensive, but I know for sure that I don't have the GPU horsepower to benefit from its features, even considering g-sync.

So is the 4K monitor 120hz/144hz? Or just same ol same ol 4k 60hz?
