Well, very fast. IF it works. Can't believe how annoying my AC87U can be at times, random 5GHz disconnects, I wonder if this model has them too (like other Asus routers).

Have you tried Merlin's firmware instead? I haven't had any issues with my two N66s in the... 2 years I've had them.

The AC87U is a Quantenna router instead of broadcom (inside most of the other routers from Asus). Those issues have been reported frequently. As suggested, check @ the Merlin firmware.

Aaaaand yet again.... Where can we buy a card that can max the 5ghz speed????? Router technology is developing very fast... While the wifi cards are stuck. Even if i have the money to buy this, are there any wifi card that can max it out right now? Hope asus sees this and develop cards(pcie or mini pcie) that can support it. The "future proof" thing is becoming "for future use only" for me. 🙁
