On larger monitors 16:9 looks even more out of place.
Good thing there is still a handfull of 16:10 monitors.

Wow! This monitor is certainly not known for it's image quality. G-Sync just is not worth the huge loss in color accuracy & contrast ratio imho, certainly not worth $800!

Thanks for the review Hilbert!
My first and biggest concern is: Can I turn the red LED ring off? Everything I have is blue on purpose.
Yet again, as I've only got one, low quality lcd screen, I'm sure I'd be good with the "inferior" iq, but then again, 800€ is no little sum...

"I really dig color precision and good viewing angles. Speaking in terms of color precision. With an aim of 6500K, you'll end up at just over 7500K. That's not that good."
So is the colour not good out of the box? At the end of the review you mentioned that it is out from 6500k I heard the colour was good out of the box and did not really need tweaking much.
So you really think this first of a kind monitor is not worth £680?

Thanks for the clarification boss 🙂

TN is not always a bad news. I use Samsung S27a750d for almost 2 years and I can say that color vibrancy and black level are superior to all IPS monitors I've ever seen.

Thanks for the review, Hilbert!
The most important conclusion was that I'd have to take a look at this monitor before buying as no review can express how this monitor really works and how I'd perceive it.
BLEH!
TBH if paying that much for a screen I'd want a bit more flexibility, personally.

My main monitor is an 23" LG with an IPS panel, My 2nd Monitor is a 18.5" Samsung TN and the difference in colours is night and day! The LG is a billion times better.
I dont think I could go back to a TN panel after this LG. 5ms response and its still fine for gaming.

Hilbert great review as always!
I have this monitor on pre-order and I am curious why you have said a 6400dpi mouse is a requirement for G-Sync, can you or someone else please elaborate on this?
Thanks

Hilbert, I don't see any mention of Nvidia's ULMB (Ultra Low Motion Blur).
Do you prefer it over G-Sync in certain games?
Regarding GPU support, does ULMB work with AMD GPU's? If so is it limited to refresh rates lower than 120Hz?
(I don't plan on buying an AMD GPU with this monitor, just curious)

Got a little question on your FCAT v-sync on test, what gpu have you use ?
