the story here is the ROG XG Mobile GC32L-051 it is an outboard gpu RX 6850M with 12Gb GDDR6 & 280 watt power supply (IEC socket, built in power supply) this is independent of the laptop PSU abilities. so a higher performance can be achieved than with the normal version of the 6850M. it's wired at PCIe 3.0 x8 which is more than good enough with an USB C interface and gigabiit LAN and multimonitor support with multiple HDMI/DP sockets. this is kick-ass @ 1440p and decent @ 4k performance is somewhere between 6700xt & 6800 desktop variants, so this is an enthusiast card. the "normal" power envelope for 6850M is 165 watts, so a 280 watt PSU should allow plenty of tweaking. two grains of salt though - this is ROG, so expect a price premium and while it should be able to work w/ any rig IDK if it does. ROG pricing would dictate the $900-1100 range but beware early buyers as it's already listed in Asia for pre-sale at inflated price.
