Hey Hilbert, I think it's wishfull for most of us if we'd know one more specification with new monitors. TN/IPS/PVA (etc). As that is the last specification we all like to know with these monitors. A shame this is a "Panel Backlight / Type : TN" as ASUS said, otherwise i would have bought atleast one... :<

I am flabbergasted to learn companies like Asus still supporting old crappy TN technology -- more than 45y old :bang:

IPS is not physically possible to reach 240hz. Furthermore, they want that 1ms gtg so that it is appealing to the "gamer" group.

@Kloet075 unless i missed some "secret" tech, all lcd based screens are back/edge lit. has nothing to do with the type of (lcd) panel used. @Juni0rM1nt HDDs are +50y old, and basic car design is over 100y old. So what's your point??

Obviouslyi meant the panel Type TN/IPS/PVA as i stated above. How ASUS calls it is not up to me. I just like to know what kind of monitor it is, IPS, TN, PVA, AHVA etc. Just like the few that commented above.

240Hz refresh rate?? Who needs that? What's the purpose? Btw: what is frameless design actually?
Competitive FPS gamers will see the benefit of these kind of screens.
