Pretty good chance its crappy like most so called "gaming" headsets... Just get a propper hi-fi brand and it will more than likely beat the crap out of whatever RGB9000 "gaming" headset you can find. Just to name one brand you cant go wrong with, senheiser.

U have 2 ears - why do U need more than 2 channels ? I can totally understand why U think U need more but in reality a proper binaural sound source is so good at making sound real that makes all of the multi channel systems a very poor substitute. But saying that there was only 1 true binaural gaming sound system ever: Aureal Vortex A3D.

I used (cheaper) Sennheisers for many years, then got two pairs (an over ear and an in-ear) of Audiotechnica (japanese brand) headphones. I was blown away... the clarity of the sound, unbelievable! I can't even imagine how those really expensive ones sound like... Got a pretty expensive RGB gaming headset as well (Steelseries Siberia), it's now being used by my mother to Skype... they sound too horrible to me 🙁 Never again !
