£130 for a mouse? Prices are just stupid now, right across the board.

It depends I suppose. My Logitech G Pro series cost £80, which isn't all that bad.

They have a cashback campaign in Europe right now so I only paid around £87 for mine and that's with 25% VAT.

Seriously at this price ! Asus can keep it!

Most high end mice are over $100 now. Some are worth the cost, my Pwnage Symm2 has been absolutely great and a bargain at $80 in my opinion. Everyone is different of course, but in my case buying a higher end mouse was a positive thing and made a clear difference. Same goes for keyboards. No need to put up with subpar input devices.

@AuerX is not just over 100 ...it is 160 ...double the money of your pwnage ...do you still think is still worth it ?

There's expensive (perhaps up to £85) and there's eye gouging (£130) but none of us have to buy at a price we don't want to, do we? Asus have a 75% mechanical keyboard at £264 (last year I paid £65 for my 65% Corsair K65 RGB Mini keyboard) and while I have an Asus Hero mobo, Asus Thor II 1200w PSU & an Asus PG35VQ gaming monitor, I'm not intending to indulge Asus (or any other tech company) when it charges these OTT prices.

Fair question, I cant say if it's worth it without trying it. But my next mouse is very likely to be the $180 Pwnage StormBreaker https://pwnage.com/products/stormbreaker. Because of my so far very positive experience with the Symm2. But I'll wear out the Symm2 first before buying anything new. Input devices are quality of life things to me.

If this was less money it would be fine. Gaming mice don't deserve to go for that kind of price unless they're made out of exotic materials like magnesium or something. Not that it's worth making a lightweight expensive metal mouse, but charging that much for a plastic mouse these days when mice are nearing perfection anyway is a bit crazy. I'd like to see some good value lightweight plastic 4000Hz mice - to combat the jitter that lower Hz gives. There's an explanation on it here: https://blurbusters.com/faq/mouse-guide/ and here: https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/a-500hz-refresh-rate-nvidia-g-sync-compatible-gaming-lcd-is-in-the-works.443155/page-4#post-6021234 I'd like a good value lightweight 4000Hz mouse preferably in fingertip grip compatibility.

@AuerX my point was with the top notch mice around 70-90 USD ... I really... Really do not think an 160 mouse will offer anything more or something anyone will notice outside some measurements on programs or special equipment. Quality input devices are great ... Asus thinking can charge so much with their sticker in such a competitive market is another!

That webpage is sweet. Very nicely done. Looks like a killer mouse. I'm partial to RGB tho. 🙂 That mouse might out last your GPU/CPU 😉

Justifying high prices by saying that there are more expensive items as some seem to be, is the reason GPUs, CPUs and other hardware prices have gone through the roof. I understand that you pay for quality but let's also be real... we've had mice with more than adequate DPI settings and pretty much anything and everything else top end mice offer for well over a decade. Prices continue to rise and yet these bring nothing new to the table at all. As for having the choice not to buy, of course... and I for one won't be but these prices do inflate the market as a whole and so you end up paying more than you should no matter what you end up buying... and that is not my choice.

LOL at it being wireless but for a gamer. I remember paying lots of money for the razer copperhead, great mouse but it broke quickly. So bought another on, broke. Decided to get a riotoro uruz for a fraction of the cost, great mouse! Don't pay silly money for a mouse!

I can't speak to this specific mouse, but modern wireless mice are on par with a wired mouse for latency and reliability, plus no cable. https://www.rtings.com/mouse/tests/control/latency
