That awful font (Corsair is using similar) + ABS = might have just as well come without keycaps
Then again true keyboard loonies and aficionados are not the target audience anyway, right?
And they are switching keycaps anyway, so...
hmm... see now how something that might seem out of touch and illogical, actually makes plenty of sense.

My Logitech G810 has ABS keycaps. It's 5,5 years old and all keycaps are still like new.

No they're not. They're all shiny and lost their original feel after a few months.

my corsair K70 rgb is showing it's 6 years spacebar return and delete key are shiny and polished the rest is okay, it definitely doesn't look new
wanted a K100 but it's now like 270$ hell no ><

Honestly, I cannot recommend that anyone lick the keycaps on a keyboard because only the Lord knows where the last hands on those keys have been...;)

Nothing about that. This is my WASD. So it's not to type of plastic, it's up to quality. My previous Sidewinder X4 outer layer started cracking and falling apart a year of purchase. G810 is still intact.

They definitely look like they developed that ABS shine. I would bet you any money that if you picked this keyboard up again, brand new, you'd see the difference. Nothing to do with the keycaps cracking and falling apart btw, it's to do with the wear ABS is associated with. It's simply a piece of plastic that will wear and then you end up with a shine on the plastic.
PBT doesn't develop this. This is why PBT is considered the go to material for keycaps. They stay true to their feel for a lot longer than ABS.

that's all down to personal taste. I hate all the keyboards you linked. Ugliest mf keyboards I have ever seen!
I like the concept of ROG Claymore (detachable numpad, aka logitech DiNovo ) but the price point they think it belongs to - is missed completely imho.

3rd pic.. check out those retro looking, high profile SA keycaps starting with F1-F4. mmm so yummy.

Of course I agree with you - it's all down to personal preferences. You can't teach good taste 🙂

ABS plastic is always slightly glossy or fully glossy out of box. They didn't develop anything on top it was 5,5 years ago.
