1,400 euros/english pounds on some stores in Europe. Nope thanks.

On the official site it says:
3D mode: 2560 x 1440 (up to 120 Hz)
So this is the first monitor with G-Sync AND 3D Vision Support above 1080p resolution?
In Germany first shops list it for 800€, still to pricey for my liking for a PC-Display but the specs really look tempting =)

Price seems legit regarding specs imo. I can't afford it but once more of them kick in the market, it will be time to replace my old 24" 🙂

Mine will be with me next Tuesday. Can't wait. First of it's kind. 1400p, Gsync, ULMB mode, 3D (not that I care), first 8-bit panel, 1ms response.
Colours are meant to be as good as IPS but without the draw back of motion blur and slow response times.
The only downside (not for me as I'm a gamer) is the viewing angles but that does not affect me. I will be sitting in front of the damn thing.
Undying
One of the best looking i saw in while. Dat price though...

http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/asus_rog_swift_pg278q.htm here is a review of the monitor.
It will have better colors than a good TN panel but not as good as IPS panels.

EDIT: Ah too late, it was posted in the above reply already. 🙂

Just out of curiosity, anyone know how many watts it pulls from the wall? Just like to get a figure on what to expect from these new monitors.

According to that above TFTCentral review the specification lists 90w although their measured usage was 51.6w 🙂

Saw it and instantly knew I wanted to have one like that to replace my no-name 26" full HD monitor.... of which I don't even know the response time or input lag, and which only is able to go 59Hz on 1080p :bang:
Most likely will only make sense when I build my new PC later this year, I hope it gets some competition to make the price go down at least to 700€

I'll let you test the **** out of this monitor and post the impressions before shoving my money into seller's hands.
I had a discussion with HonoredShadow about how expensive this monitor is, then bought new headphones. It looks like I'm a hypocrite 🙂 But I bought these headphones after trying them out against others, and I'd rather like to do the same with such monitor.

$800 bucks. Looks very nice but out of my price range.

I love **** like this.
"HEY EVERYBODY! We've launched product, but you can't buy it for another 3+ weeks, and of course by saying buy we mean preorder. Oh and did we mention the supply is limited and being ferried from the other side of the world on a driftwood raft we built? Look forward to it!"
Jokes aside, the wait for this is becoming agonizing, but in a good way. I just hope I can get my hands on one.
