Lovelace price increases have extended to the mobile space, but with worse gpu nomenclature (lies). model to model over 3080 ROG/Strix Scar is $500 w/ comparable config. i know that huge bump isn't Intel's baby. i'm fond of ROG laptops (despite the noise) as they shave a bit off've Alienware and MSI's similar offerings. same thing w/ Aorus, except they're even noisier. so with that power/heat profile i'll wait until spring for the AMD 7xxx mobile cpu - i need real cores anyways - but that 4080M and the cooling package may get me back to MSI/Nvidia. after all w/ MSI you don't have to go to the bios to fiddle with the fans but they typically don't offer AMD unlike ROG
