HD 6990 is still OP. Only if it would support Vulkan, Jeezus.

I had never even heard of the DDR4 version of the 1030, I had to look it up to see... wow, that is a truly abysmal card!

You take that back! DDR4 shenanigans aside, if you could manage to pick it up for cheap, it paired nicely with the AMD 1200 at the time, small and low powered enough to throw into low-profile HTPC builds, and always doubled as a back-up/troubleshooting card. I'm not going to pretend it won any races--let alone actually finishing them within the same day, but hey, at least it played Cup Head on an old Dell Optiplex! Edit: I actually had to double check myself--for whatever reason, I forgot we were on DDR5 not 4.

review: "However, if you are in the market for something like this..." So many ways to end that sentence. Few are pleasant.

For video playback is fine but makes no sense whatsoever to get the ddr4 version it is same price maybe 5 bucks less , the gddr5 can do some light gaming just fine the ddr4 even eSports tittles are too much for it .

I had a 1030 ddr4 as a stand in during RMA, it struggled on Star Trek online, I even had slight lag playing quake. Made me sick to my stomach.

lol even the vega 8 on the 2200g is faster than a ddr4 gt1030 if i remember correctly, that vega IGP is on par with a ddr5 gt1030, crazy stuff

A truly amazing 64bit bus. I'd buy this for 20 bucks for an emergency card or something.
