probably because very rarely do intel bios updates add new features or abilities, and usually they are boring bug fixes, I think the honest way to think about it, is amd ships its stuff in a less polished state, and intel systems usually ship in more or less the state it will remain for the remainder of the platforms livespan, and only for 2 generations.
