You might want to change part of that conclusion... "The TUF Gaming OC RTX 4070 delivers a quiet BIOS noise level" 😛 I can't say I'd choose any 7700XT when the cheapest is £442 when stood next to a 6700XT which you can get for £299 new though. Performance uplift just isn't enough to justify the higher price IMO.

As a product that has just been released, its price is a bit high. As is happening lately, it should soon be at a better price for customers. In my country you can find these 2 models of the same brand Pulse 6700 XT 339,99€ vs Pulse 7700 XT 499,99€

I'm guessing the purpose is to steer people towards older generation products because they haven't been able to sell all inventory to miners in bulk like in the past.

Curious enough, please take it a simple anedocte, here in Mexico is the complete oposite. 2 week ago 6800xt and 6800 were very cheap, and just at the start of the lauch week they increased the price to absurb nonsense amounts, and all of them sold directly by amazon mx or amazon us. So to me it was just to force people to buy the new gen cards; so quite interesting nontheless.
