i woudl have paid 1200, 1300 eur for a really great monitor.
With 1300 eur you can get a good 55+ 4k hdr tv.
Ok without gsync and without 144hz, but 2550 is really too much.

Far too expensive for a 27" panel regardless of spec, 32" would have made way more sense at 4K but still that price is ridiculous. I am hoping after a few years FALD panels become more common and the price drops. If this 27" monitor costs this much I wonder how much they will be charging for those 65" Gsync panels....lol.

Wonder how much these would cost -GSync +Freesync...

Need to get on a boat, throw out my passport somewhere in a middle of Baltic sea, row all the way to Germany and apply for asylum to afford one of those.

Way too overpriced..

Jesus at that price you might aswell build a new gaming pc.

unless those are not official imports, so is 1999 dollars, + europe vat + europe custom + margin for the reseller.
That would fit.

What the WHAT!?!?!
This can't be serious.......right!?! Ma'am I've been holding out for years and this is what we get treated\greated with....!?!
Man...... consumers are the new thrash can aren't we.....!?! Well I really wanted to say "something else" in lieu of the trash can comment, but at least wanted to be "PC" about it.

Cheap stuff... But for me the worst part is the size, only 27, really??? A monitor this expensive and they can´t make it at least 32??? That´s crazy!
NewTRUMP Order
I live in U.S. and it costs $1999.00 here with free shipping. I randomly picked Randers Denmark for shipping info thru UPS. The cheapest I could get was $833. So sorry I can't ship it to you on the cheap.:(

And here am I siting with a +/-170€ 24'' LG freesync monitor in front of me, and perfectly happy about it.
New tech will always have a premium price to boast, specially being HDR1000.
That said, 27'' is too small for that price.
I hope Freesync 2 becomes available cheap when I need a new monitor, because I want that HDR400 (and all features) as a minimum for my next buy.

My question is since 4K+144Hz+10Bit HDR 4:4:4 requires atleast 31.35Gbps data rate, HDMI 2.0b is only able to hit 18Gbps and therefore can not do what the monitor claims
Display Port 1.4 can do it but it needs to use DSC to accomplish that task which drops it to 4:2:2 which is 8Bit HDR which is what 1080p does. So its not true HDR in the sense.
Hilbert you said you saw the screen in action, do you know which port it was using? Or were you able to ask questions about how they accomplished the task of pushing that data?
The only way to properly support it is with HDMI 2.1 which no GPU's support currently or the next gen Display Port tech which isn't ready for primetime.

And here I thought paying €600 for an 35" AOC AG352UCG Curved G-Sync was already was too much...
~€2500 for a 27" monitor... lol

Gimme two, who cares that I can't live without a single kidney.
Seriously though, way too expensive even for what they are. 2600+ Euros (3100$-) for the Acer and 2700+ (3200$+) for the ASUS here in Norway, they're not worth over four times what I got my XB271HU for.
