Its maximum SSD configuration is what I consider should be the minimum for a laptop. Taking thinness into consideration, its components are probably not user upgradeable, so... unless the 512 SSD + 16 RAM is really cheap, that laptop would be a no-go for me.

I strongly disagree, especially if you're going to generalize. What exactly do you need so much local storage for? This laptop isn't ideal for games, so that's a big chunk of disk space you'd save. Most people who have hundreds to thousands of GBs of media would (or should) either use cloud storage or a local NAS for their media, and if they insist on local storage, microSD cards have become pretty large nowadays. This laptop is equipped for both such cases. 512GB for SSDs is still a little on the expensive side. For people who stream their music, movies, and TV shows, a 128GB drive is plenty sufficient while being very cheap.

Just read that it has a maximum of 8 GB of RAM so... yep, it's definitely for another use-case scenario.
