ASUS should include a chiller as 'standard boxed cooler' ...

I guess in due time we will find out if it is truly worth it for something like this. I'm happy with my Aorus Xtreme TRX40, but need one of them CPU's to drop in it. Hopefully when the 3990X does drop, so will the price of what's out now...
I'll happily pay a grand for a 24 core 48 threaded beast!!!

With the current Zenith II Extreme board being pretty much top of the pile, I wonder how many owners are a bit concerned that a CPU - known to be getting released for some time - might be so problematic with their board that Asus deemed it necessary to release another version dedicated to the 3990X. Will Gigabyte follow suit with an 'Alpha' version of their Aorus Xtreme? It kinda puts a question mark over an upgrade slot-in pathway. Just seems a little odd.

I have a great boss. Yesterday he came over with his laptop and said, "We're getting a new dev box. What do you think of this?" He showed me set of parts for a machine that had a TR 3970X as the CPU. I stated I think that is overkill and he said, "Yes, it is but I want to get one here to try it out." I am so fortunate. 🙂
