The first thing I will do when 3090 strix oc is arriving, is to shuntmod it, and put it under water. Already have waterblock in the mail. Looks like this is the best 3090 for both Air and water before K|ngP|n card is coming 🙂

In Australia, this card is A$430 more expensive than the Trio. Also, on the Superposition dashboard, Gigabyte Gaming OC cards occupy the top spots. So much for 'MMLCs are better than SP-CAP capacitors for overclocking'.

ASUS specifically did not seed STRIX as they want to push the TUF Gaming model. Dunno, they're monitoring these threads though so I would not be surprised if one is dropped on my doorsteps soon.

Looking at that shop stock post from a few days ago, there are about 5 million people waiting in queue for TUF, so they can stop pushing the TUF now!

So what's the actual MSRP of this product ?
Any review should have some sort of price / performance / quality.
$1499 FE to $1800 (quoted from the review as a seen listed price) is a 20% increase, over $300. That's a hell of a price rise for what seems like a fraction of a % performance increase over the FE.

You also pay for the premium for overclockers. Hotwire onboard the pcb. Ability to "voltagecontrol" the gpu with the right tool. Better components overall for better extreme overclocking. If you don't like it, then buy the cheaper models 🙂
It's not about worth for the average Joe, it's about to making "the best" produkt. "The best" always comes with a premium prize.

3080strix startet to be sendt to costumers just a few days ago. Yesterday the first 3080 strix arrived here in Norway. We are still waiting gor 3090 strix. First 3090 strix cards should arrive next week

this is all very impressive and all of that but apparently they don't care about ITX mobo owners. that's the biggest growth segment in the p.c. market.
curious why at this price there isn't an aio loop.

Great article -- tons of data! Though I suspect you did yourself a disservice pairing such a high end GPU with a last-gen i9 CPU. Pretty sure you were bottlenecked by CPU and did not show its full potential. Will be interesting to see how it pairs with the new Ryzen 5950x.
