It was to be expected that AIB cards would be too expensive especially the top of the line ones. Hopefully in the coming months pricing will go down to a more reasonable level.

450$ is just insane. No thanks.

Nice card but not $100 over FE nice.

Very impressive, it's on-pair and beats Vega 64 in a couple of games. This is the kind of mid-range graphics card I would like to buy if Navi turns out to be another disappointment, but paying that 459€ premium (more like 499€ in my country with vat and "chemical" taxes for electronics) does make it less tasty; not to mention RTX artificially increasing the price.

Did this really needs to have three fans? IMO two fans should be enough and still get decent temp.

Look at the standard 2060 6GB in the charts. Same load noise levels as this card in (silent) and only 4°C warmer. It's astonishing the price premium they are asking for this over the FE with little improvement.

Hilbert, you misidentified the 2060 Strix in some of the charts as 2080ti Strix (unigine and some of the futuremark charts).

Not sure why anyone would go for this over a 2070.

I rather pay extra 200€ and get a 2080rtx then, saw a few for 650€ in German shops.

I would go with 2070 probably. Im seeing msi 2070 armor for 525€. More vram, more rt cores and overall faster card. Cooler looks crappy tho 😀

I think the armor is the old twin frozer 3 cooler. It only has three heat pipes. Though the 2070 doesn’t really get that hot. Honestly IF I were getting and RTX only 2080 or 2080ti would I be looking at AIB. The 2060 and 2070 both I would just get straight from NV in FE trim.

Ah, I fixed the labels. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.

Asus always had higher prices but this generation they gone overboard. Asus RTX lineup is a good 100-150€ more expensive than competition, and Strix 2080Ti is like 250€ higher than other brands. Asus thinks they are Apple of graphics cards, this arrogance will come back to bite them in the ass. o_O

It's okay now, thanks

@Hilbert Hagedoorn Sir, one thing is itching me for a long time. A stock clock for gtx 980ti isnt doing any justice here . 1300-1400mhz factory oced 980ti cards were very common . Even 1500mhz is pretty much doable for most of them . Will it be too much to ask to include a moderately factory oced 980ti like msi lightning or zotac amp extrme one ? what do u say, Boss?

All cards listed in the reviews are reference clocked aside from the actual AIB card we include in the test results, that is and should be the primary comparative. That is the baseline we present for you to compare to. It would be an incredibly confusing flurry of results if we did AIB results solely. Another problem with that is when we do that, AIB partners will ONLY submit their fastest clocked SKUs to media. That would create a really weird dynamic. Most people buy a more affordable card and then tweak themselves to save money. However, what you are asking we've addressed already at least in one segment of the reviews, the GPU shootout. It contains all results from all cards we tested.

Boss, that gpu shootout is a really helpful idea, where one can compare his gpu easily. But there isn't any 980ti i could find

WTH. All benchmarks include 980ti, always. All pages. Stop it here, please. And no HH should never include an oc'ed version of any gpu. Because in terms of fairness, he should overclock all gpus in the list. That's impossible and two times the effort for him. His reviews are absolute complete.
