No UHD content from Netflix. Well, at least can be useful for some Ryzen users who doesnot need a powerful card (ie: office)

this is for pro use, in this category Asus is clearly not leader... Another try on low cost as quadro cost triple for few more, but quadro are in PCIe X8 where asus is in X1, and quadro have better frequency where Asus have 3 at 30hz... the few more that quadro have over it make this card a no go in a vast majority of case... Or You take a GT 1030 that cost the same in passive from Asus, and the IGP from Intel or APU from AMD and you have a thing that do the same that this card offer but better... I don't know what someone could do with this card 🙂 (too expensive, inadapted, nearly legacy driver and not pro driver... and so more against it)

Interestingly, ASUS has the 442.19 as the latest compatible driver. https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/GT710-4H-SL-2GD5/HelpDesk_Download/

Aren't those usually laptops and not desktops? If you have a desktop PC, likely there is a reason for it and this kind of GPU does not do it.

Yes, I'm pretty sure this is it. As far as I'm aware, you can't buy a new single-slot passive GPU with 4 display connectors for this price.

The card is clearly there to add 4 extra hdmi ports that's all really

Cheap digital signage?

This card doesnt really have a reason to exist today. The 1030 is already the lowest u should go even for office use though I would like to see more pci-e x1 cards they're hard to come by.

Wrong. All 1030's have only two ports. --- I have a 710 on a workstation computer, using 3 monitors for software development. The CPU is also a low-power passively cooled part, and the PSU is a semi-passive design, and consider how little the computer consumes, the fan never turns on. Combined with SSDs only inside the computer, there is really nothing in that computer creating sound of any kind ! Basically a fancy multi-monitor quiet typewriter, in which the loudest part is my keyboard.... and my thoughts. I will certainly add a 4th display if I can find this card in the local stores ;-)

Potential addition to a music production daw pc.

This card can be very useful, it is a cheap way to feed 4 TVs to create an info wall with charts and graphics that update from time to time, also for music production environments, documentary investigation, even for educational proposes. 4 HDMI outputs aren't found in every PC. Remember that not all the computers are for gaming.

What i meant is the gpu itself has no reason to exist they should have used the gt 1030 core and given it the pci-e x1 as well as the 4 display ports.

I'd rather see Nvidia make an M.2 video card with u.fl connectors. Bonus points if it had nvenc.

But this card is expensive, to do that, you can use a 30 Euro GPU combinated with IGP or APU (we already have done a job like that for a pharmacist wich want a low cost presentation) it work great and cost almost nothing. 4 HDMI or 2 HDMI + 2 DP or 2 DVI is the same with the capacity of this card...

The GT 710, 720, 730 exist for years in X1 (don't look on mainstream distributor) But IGP, APU and on board display (on pro board), make them more and more useless as they gain capacity at each generation.

you can add another 710 for half of the price of this card... it should work the same...
