I guess the g-sync range will only be something like 48-165hz though unlike proper g-sync that starts from 0-max so i hear

Thanks, i find it all confusing at times tbh. I was saving for the XG258Q, which is g-sync compatible but then i got put off when i know the proper g-sync version called PG258Q has a better range, some games i have drop to 30fps in cutscenes and what not so 48-max wont cut it for me so looks like im forced into buying g-sync I dont want to keep switching from v-sync to g-sync, if i buy g-sync it will stay on that for every game i play 🙂

So you payed ~100$ extra to have g-sync in cutscenes, really? 😀 Also, using an RTX 2080 with a FHD TN panel? LOL

I never bought it yet and no its not just for cutscenes, there are 30 fps games like split second, or need for speed rivals that i have, and yes im using a rtx 2080 with a 1080p tn panel, nothing wrong with that at all, i like to aim for higher fps and like to max the settings in my games like assassins creed origins and odyssey, try doing that with a 2k or 4k monitor, even with a rtx 2080 it will struggle to keep a min 60fps So don't try and be the smart ass when your clearly not!

At this point all i have to say to Asus is 32-43" 4K 120hz + g-sync or GTFO. So tired of them refreshing 24-27" 🙁

Doesn't LFC work with Nvidia-compatible Freesync monitors? AFAIK both Freesync and G-sync supports LFC, even if I'm not sure about the exact implementations, and any display with sufficiently large adaptive sync span that should work just fine with both technologies. Or are we saying that some displays don't actually sync below X frames, even with LFC support, despite the fact that it should?

Tn Pannel :/ I prefere IPS Pannel like Asus VG279Q (1ms ,freesync 144 hz and fully compatible gsync) freesync works perfectly with GTX 1080 (48hz-> 144 hz)

Also Note for AMD/ATI users that (despite the name) it's still Good Old FreeSync 1 Monitor. Working Flawlessly with 'any' Radeon. IMhO is better to invest with FreeSync 2 HDR IPS panel.

I hope the BenQ XL2730Z will be added to the roster.

hi there, it's from the game NightSky. a good puzzle game that got me hooked by its atmospheric world and ambient music. a sweet brake from big budget games. Undying, a great game.

Ye, let's use TN in 2019.

I was intrested till I saw 1080p IF it was 1440p and right price i might bite, Prefer VA over TN at this point, still dont want IPS though

Why a 24 and a 25 with the exact same specs otherwise? I mean 24 and 27 or 25 and 27, but seriously. Same with all the lower tier nvidia cards. 2060, 1660 ti, 1660, and what at least 2 below that. Then throw in the 1080, 1070 ti, 1070 and 980ti for that matter and its a god damn zoo, even if you remove the 1080 and 2060 from the mix.

Still pushing garbage TN panels in 2019. When will consumers get the same quality VA panels that samsung use in their 4K tv's, vendors just seem to push the same dated tech out year after year.
