8 SATA ports should be standard. ASUS the only high end one that has that.

lol why honestly unless you have a server or some freakish raid going on why would you need 8 plus the M2s in case you didnt know you can buy HDD in multiple TB options these Days, also notice they have 14 fan headers to keep the silly TDP under control so overclock it and fill all the slots your going to need something like a 1600w psu just to run it

Areca 1883ix-24 is what you need. Sataports on the MB is so 2005 πŸ˜›

The prime series looks really budget, not much difference in terms of parts compared to the z370 prime A i got on release, but the design looks overall worse, its true that theres next to no difference between each series of boards other than maybe a heatsink here or there or slight design change, but even so, looks are important when buying a new board. at least to me the asus offerings at the z370 launch looked better, if i was to upgrade id likely not go for asus as i dont see any value on the ROG or maximum series
