I guess they figured, if they used the ultra silent air cooler, they would probably have people way more upset about the coil whine (not masked by fan noise) 😀

LOL yeah. I am wondering how this will go. They will need to use higher quality inductors and more phases if they want to get the coil whine in check.
MSI is using very high-end inductors and 18 phases on their suprim x 4080 which is obvious the moment you look at the board.

I still think its best to use the reference card when that becomes cheaper, that goes for rtx 4090 in 2025 when its actually less than $1000 and put a water block to it. Especially if you already have a custom loop in the system.
zero coil whine with an alphacool waterblock with thermal grizzly paste fyi and I don't remember hearing any on watercooled gpus that's my 3rd
I understand this is unreasonable hardware, just saying it seems to be a problem from either heat or the giant coolers, but my 1080ti didn't have a 35cm cooler and it still disappeared when I liquid cooled

Everyone is doing black/white/red fans nowadays, it kinda bores me.
That's why I like them, they're different, solid, with industrial look. They have other series with black aestethic, but I kinda prefer them this way.
But, again, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

When you buy black noctua fans they look in the first glance like like any other fan, when people see the turd color though they know it is noctua instantly :P
