I literally can't think of any hardware that has not been infected with RGB. Oh wait, I know, floppy drives?

Our boards suck cause we ain't got time to tune the Bios, heck LED development takes all our ressources. Welcome to the world of wannabes and glitter. Asus, go home !

I don´t have issues with RGB, you can always switch them off. I suppose products could be few % cheaper w/o RBG in them, but meh, we all are stuck with RGB attached to, well, pretty much everything.

Ok, great, RGB, fast USB, AES but what's inside? Why there is nothing about hardware itself? I'm tired of that marketing bullshit instead of actual proper hardware presentation with specs and pricing. "Oh look, new fancy flashy thingy, buy it buy it, who cares what's inside, look! it can change colors!". I'm really disgusted with fact that Asus is following Razer path.

Yet another Asus Aura product that will not work with the Asus Aura software just like all other Asus Aura products.

I need RGB carpet under my desk to feel "immersed".

It just seems like such a waste of time and money to smack in rgb into every product. I know don't, maybe we're just getting old and "gullible" is the new normal.

It's a 2.5" HDD. What else is there to know? Asus doesn't make HDDs by themselves, so what's inside is the cheapest 2.5" HDD of appropriate size they can get from WD, Seagate, or Toshiba. It doesn't really matter much which one. They are all so slow they can't use more than a fraction of the USB3.1 bandwidth. You do have a point about the pricing, of course. But since this is kind of coupled to the ROG image, I guess it's going to be more expensive than the regular things found on store shelves.

Never thought I'd see the day when manufacturers were selling external HDDs "with 16M colors"....*gag* *choke* Talk about product placement "missing the point"! It's...just....flashing...colored...light...there is no ..."deep cosmic significance" to be deciphered--no "Morse code from Andromeda's Secret Legions" just waiting for discovery...! *cough* If we're all wondering if some advertisers believe us to be six years old, or else have the minds of six year olds--well, this settles the question, eh? Gaaaa! Who cares about "backups" and "encryption" and stuff like that when you have these...lights...so...pretty....the lights...I...can't...sto-o-o-o-op...looking...at them..as they change!....Turn off the room lights! Lo-o-o-o-o-o-okkkk....(slobber, drool) I...want...to...kkkkkilllll....!>!>!>!>!:)

Why does every manufacturer make stuff with rgb? I mean, rgb doesent make your computer faster, or better, I think that stuff is awful....and if you use rgb, you had to buy a more expensive PSU.. Just to have enough power to lighten up your circuscase. My dream would be to build my computer in a drawer or something, with watercooling and so on, so you cant even se the case, and it's silent.

You don't need RBG for it. Simple led does the trick.

If you're a computer nerd who needs to see the keys, you're a n00b nerd...

Hmmm.... Despite the fact I have 0 interest in RGB, I do have a spare floppy drive. I might just cram it full of RGB LEDs and take the trophies for "first gamer floppy drive" and "world's douchiest PC modder".

Only because they didn't actually light their colors, just imagine the picture below with all them colors backlit...you know they would have if it was the trend! lol
lol I was going to post the exact same image but you beat me to it.
