After a few elite and hardcore enthusiasts will buy the first batch, the pikachu surprise face on manufacturer seeing that sales will stagnate. The bulk sales comes from medium range and OEM.

They've been in business long enough to know what they're doing. I suspect these will either be low-volume production runs (just enough to make a buck or two), or there's something about performance that may justify the price.

Who buys these expensive HALO boards?
People with lots of disposable income. The same people who buy lots of expensive gadgets, cars and other stuff they don`t need because they make lots of money and want to spend it on something, even if it`s stupid.

If these prices are real, and that remains to be seen, I'll predict it won't be long before the prices come back to Earth...;)

Lol nope , more like people that live a champagne life on a beer budget lol. People that have money , have money because they save money. Most people use credit cards and such because they couldn’t save money for the life of them.

I never go on dept to pay for anything ! I will ever break that rule of mine only for health reasons of me or very loved ones. Until then when I want something I just buy it up front. No monthly plans nothing of that short ! And if I can not afford something I will save and wait !

Still rocking a Crosshair VII Hero X470 and a gold sample 5800x and 32GB Bdie. Personally, I love all the USB ports and need the "X" motherboards. I sim race and play full body VRChat. I have 11 USB ports, plus the case ports and still bought a PCI USB card. However, I've built every PC I've owned since 1995 and they can kiss my white ass if the think I'm paying those prices. I've wanted a Dark Hero for a while, but i'm not paying $450 for a MB. Gonna wait till these 7000's drop on the market, then maybe I'll pick up an x570 board and maybe a 5800x3d. But prolly not. When my RTX 3080 is maxxed out in VR and trips sim racing, what CPU i have doesnt really matter. Spending one damn cent on a new MB/CPU/RAM before i get a better GPU is just retarded.

People that have money, most likely have them because their families had them, which enabled them to educate themselves and get a better job, or because they haven't faced savings-ending emergencies. Can't believe that in the midst of everything turning into corporate feudalism, we tell ourselves this crap. PC gaming is becoming "boutique", and if this happens, it is going to be the end of it.

Yes you are completely right about the education part, I just didn’t add it. I also agree about you last response.

Same here. I payed 200eur for x570 board im not paying more for x670.
I refuse to pay over $160. Most I have ever spent on a board. Hell, I only paid $147 for a ASUS X79 board that was not a cheap one. Paid $80 for my current X570. I know its stupid, but if I upgrade to AM5, I want a 670 board for the fact I have owned X370, X470, X570 already. Just like back in the day I had X38,X48, and X58.
