Guess this is still a thing then, although I wonder what the reason behind the change was for this product. Are these better or is it purely a cost saving decision? Probably the latter since that tends to be the case but it's kinda hard to just say without knowing what the difference between the different product labels are. EDIT: Trying to search around is just providing more websites posting about this change. Perhaps Asus will say something later on and some more in-depth testing can reveal more about the parts themselves. (Asus PR statement might not be all that useful for that sort of information.) EDIT: Ah I'm not reading it right, these are the two serial numbers of the GPU PCB itself and then there could be various changes to that board ranging from stripping down components to replacing them with cheaper alternatives or just altering the layout for whatever reason. 🙂 If so a PCB comparison picture might provide a clearer picture whenever one is available, would be interesting to know what Asus decided to change. (And more importantly how that impacts the card itself besides just ruining existing cooler blocks since they no longer fit properly.)
