Wouldn't touch an ASRock motherboard ever again after my last one (X399 Taichi). It was plagued with so much DPC latency that all my games would crash and audio would crackle constantly. That was enough to put me off for life.

What is that weird bracket hanging off the lower-right side of the MB?

When you grow tired of this board's instability and remember the amount of money you spent pull that and this will happen: https://i.imgur.com/lJPZB2e.jpg

I think everyone has issues with every brand. I will never touch Gigabyte again for example, and AMD.

sorry to hear that. i bought an x399 Taichi and loved it. right now it's been replaced in my home system (5950x) but it lives on where it should've been all along - at my office. i've been very impressed with Asrock's SFF mobo's, especially the ones where they shoe-horned HEDT/ pro sockets on an ITX.

Asus and EVGA are my go-to brands for motherboards. I'm currently using a Asus Strix Z690-E with a 12900K and a Asus TUF RTX 3080Ti. DDR5 RAM was a bit wonky at first but the last motherboard BIOS update gave it rock solid stability so can't complain now. It's all good
