On few ASRock motherboard based PCs I've been running BIOS using AGESA 1.0.0.4 Patch B for a while and can confirm it works like a dream, no issues at all. First one is ASRock A320M-DVS R4.0 (latest BIOS 3.70 / AGESA 1.0.0.4 Patch B) paired with Ryzen 5 3400G and second one using Ryzen R7 2700X on ASRock B450M-HDV R4.0 (also latest BIOS 3.70 / AGESA 1.0.0.4 Patch B) despite ASRock warning: "...ASRock do NOT recommend updating this BIOS if Pinnacle, Raven, Summit or Bristol Ridge CPU is being used on your system...". Rock stable motherboards, can't complain. On the other hand I've had stability issues month and a half ago using Asus Prime A320M-K runing at that time latest BIOS 5222 (AGESA 1.0.0.3ABBA) paired with Ryzen 5 3400G. Returned that one for a ASRock A320M-DVS R4.0 and didn't regret, not for a second.

Maybe it'll finally push Asus to finish the 1.0.0.4 AB Bios's for their remaining 300 series boards ?

Haha, Asus being left in the back. Or want to stay there and forget about those boards.

Meanwhile, ASUS gives the middle finger to it's costumers....

There are also some Asus X370 boards that don't have the 1.0.0.4 AB yet.

Bought the Asus X470-F and feel very disappointed in the support. I have only bought asus M/B from 2008 and this will be the last time! Will consider AsRock whenever I decide to upgrade again.

Mr Hilbert maybe tell ASUS how unpleased the thier customer base have become with their support. Thanks

Just out of curiosity, what problems were being experienced. I have had nothing but excellent results with mine and a 3800X. Then again I spared no expense on getting good Samsung B-die ram.

https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?102858-Asus-Strix-X470-F-Gaming-owners-thread/page185 Myself not much, but apparently many features is disabled with this premium board and the odd bus speed @ 99.8 bug have not been fixed for ages. Would also have likes better case fan control which you only get with modified bios. The bios releases is also very slow, but others have much more serious issues from what I see.

Seeing that you have the same M/B and running windows 10? Do you have a loudness equalizer button under your sound advance tab? The constant high and low volumes is driving me insane. Had a sound blaster xtreme gamer sound card before and it was much better than the this onboard sound which is suppose to be very good.

This bios update enabled PBO XFR for B350 ? I've seen it in bios and enabled it ... any tips on manual XFR settings ? (Watts for 2600X) ?

Yes, am running Windows 10, version 1909 now. I am using the onboard sound but using the UDA driver from Realtek and the ROG Sonic Studio windows store app. The UDA driver was once made available in the ROG forums but the thread has since been deleted.

That 99.98 bus clock is a plague on all Ryzen systems. Not sure about threadripper boards or which manufacturers have "cured" the issue. Here is the cure for our board:

The profile is optimized default + SSC disabled. Kudos to Reous and Xploder270
Even tough it states 5220, all it does is set a hidden bios setting, all other settings are @ default. So it works perfectly fine with 5406.
