not for me but i love the innovation at ASRock Rack. now if they can squeeze a TR into a mATX with ECC RAM (instead of laptop RAM) i'd go back to TR

There are ECC SO-DIMMs. That way you get the best of both worlds: more room to fit more memory, and ECC support. Frankly, I don't really understand why "regular" DIMMs are still a thing, at least for desktops. I can see how fitting 256GB on a SO-DIMM would be difficult.
