I only need to know ONE thing: 4KRT @ 60 FPS average across all RT games? If not, gonna get the fastest 4K raster GPU for the cheapest price I can find until then GPU prices gets back down to more sane value.

With FSR, maybe, but I'd still bet against it. AMD has a lot of catching up to do with RT. The fact AMD didn't try to out-do the 4090 (despite having the advantage of chiplets) to me suggests their RT performance isn't good enough. The 6900XT was "the fastest GPU *" and the asterisk (which was mostly RT performance and a lack of DLSS) kinda undermined that. I would like to be proven wrong though. It's totally possible they figured stuff out, but I wouldn't be surprised if most of the architectural changes had to do with getting chiplets to work.

I tend to agree. These cards will likely be on par with Nvidia's last gen in RT. However, I do expect rasterization to be really good. I could even see the 7900 XT beating the 4080 in some cases(yes not the XTX). I do think AMD didn't chose to beat the 4090 because that chip is an absolute beast and is more akin to a Titan level card than anything. The amount of money you make at that tier is so small due to low volumes. AMD technically could make another GPU chiplet that is larger if they wanted, and they might on a refresh end of next year but I am just not sure they want to do that in the consumer space. You can get so much more money on commercial cards which giant dies. I do think marketing the fastest card for under $1000 is going to sell far more cards in this economy. I could be wrong, but I think Nvidia has misjudged the economic landscape which of course is easy to fix if you have enough margins by lowering the prices of cards.
