So the CPU is under water inside that block is it? Or is open to air? Hard to see. Does that cover come off to replace CPU?

Both yes, you can see the in and outtake fittings for tubing. basically this is a big monoblock embedded in the outer shell or shield if you like to call it that.

This is a cool product! The last time i saw something like this was for some asus rampage in the x58 era. I think it looks nicer without the plastic shroud tho.

After reading better: `limited production run of just 999 boards` Ok i take back what i said. This is a cool idea that did not go to produciton.

@Hilbert Hagedoorn the post has the text doubled.

so sexeh! i was waiting for someone to actively cool (w/o fans) the x570 chipset. no mosquito whine on this mobo.

So I'm guessing this is for a custom water loop. I would love to get into custom loops but the cost is out of my range, so I've been forced to stay with AIO coolers. This looks sweet though.

What about the price... will it cost 999$/€ because there are only 999 boards produced? hmmm... and what kind of vrm? ... yes, i know - it's watercooled, so it should stay cool enough, whatsoever. But when I look e.g. at the Asrock X570m Pro4 I'm very disapointet, that instead of charging 20-30€ more for some decent smartpowerstages like the TDA21472s (~3.35€ per piece) that can be found on the MSI Godlike (or even on the Gigabyte X570 I Aorus Pro Wifi), they integrated a very mediocre vrm-solution there - a doubled four-phase with SM4337/SM4336 as high-/lowside mosfets. Don't know how it'll turn out with the AQUA - we'll have to see. (which doesn't mean that it'll be a bad board, maybe it'll even be their new flagship full of goodies - but I remain sceptic).

They said 1000$ back in mai:

It could be a really cool idea (excuse the pun) if made in a "modular" fashion. Make the CPU block removable and standardized so u can reuse that part on a new motherboard in the future (since the cpu block holds the bifurcation chamber and the most copper it should cost more than the other parts). Partner with a liquid cooling manufacturer to offer a cpu block with an integrated pump so u only need a couple tubes and the radiators, etc. Otherwise it is just a probably very expensive, disposable mono block....

With only 999 of these I dont see how you would ever get a warranty replacement. That alone turns me off.

I agree. It this product had come another year could have bought it for the lol, but with DDR5 so close (bit more than 6 months away), buying a $1000 motherboard ain't worth.

On other hand it is just a normal X570 board with waterblocks... Every WC company work on X570's waterblock as people foud the fan painfull. I think that we might build something equivalent but cheaper soon...

I would rather call it X570 MILK because water is not white.

I never say this but that is one nice looking motherboard, I actual like the idea all that stuff covers probably why say it is one nice looking motherboard, not sure how feel about water cooled

nice till it sinks like the 'Titanic ' in its own ocean - never liked the idea of water cool. 😱

Ingenious design. I hope other mobo makers do the same until its commonplace. Competition would prevent prices from being too silly. But as is, with Asrock the only one, prices will likely be extortionate.
