Maybe it's a small flying rug with a Apple genie that grants you three wishes.. As always Apple doesn't just sell things...they sell "fashion statements". This reminds me of BMW - the Apple of cars: take a plate of vomit and it costs nothing but put a BMW badge on top of the vomit and suddenly the value increases at 1000 USD.

From what I heard, iPhones don't have that large of a profit margin, though, I guess that depends on whether profit accounts for R&D costs. This, on the other hand, is so blatantly a ripoff that even Apple fans might have a hard time defending it. Funny thing is if Apple made 1 million of these stupid things and only sold 1% of them, they'd still probably see a profit.
