Tech giants like Apple, Google and Microsoft should always have a big piece of your pie, or your whole cake goes to trash can. Talk about legitimate stealing both customers and sellers through their "stores". And you can do nothing.

It's a mainstream game that kids play this days. It's not civilization, it's not cs 1.6, it's not witcher, it's not even minecraft.
Do you expect us, old farts to accept the fact that kids play different games than we did / do? Of course it is trash. How dare they play games that we don't approve!

I'm sure Epic knows what they're doing.
They probably had lawyers figuring this out long before they went live with the bypass.
Maybe because a lot of people find it good, and thus keep playing it?
I still play Fortnite on a daily basis, be it Save the World, and not Battle Royale since i don't like PvP.

google and apple is similar, if we look far to amazon then to many of marketplace system in the world, all of them similar in sort
if u want to sell ur product in those marketplace, then u need to follow their terms
if u dont like it then find other place, which mean u(epic) agree with the term in the first place, right ?
the terms of monopoly also confusing here
those marketplace in some sort create their own "monopoly" where its controlled by the marketplace system
now if you create a product with ecosystem for your product, and u make terms for 3rd-party if they want to join your ecosystem, that is monopoly yes? and is that violating the law ?

I hate to say this but this isn't Apple's fault it is on Epic because they are undermining Apple on Microtransaction sales.

I think Apple should be suing Epic as well for trying to short change them in Microtransaction sales and the same thing applies to Google as well.

It's the biggest game in my household and has expanded to including creative mode and other game modes. Only Roblox and Minecraft can even come close (but not really).
I don't play it, but, my boys enjoy it so its no problem for me. They just added cars, which they're loving.
In contrast, I was playing relatively trash games at aged 9.

I do have to commend Epic for shaking things up for online stores. I'm still not switching over to them, because they're actually kinda anti-Linux (hell, even MS is more supportive of Linux, but I digress) but I do like how they keep screwing with the practices of other major stores.
Should they succeed in their goals though, I won't be surprised if they become the thing they fight.

That doesn't necessarily mean a lawsuit but I'm sure it'll turn into one. Epic seems to know what they're doing.

Nothing. It's fine.
I started playing Duos with my son as he's very into the game. It's as unoffensive and simple as you could get while offering a very obvious bell curve of performance. The people who are good at that game are really good, people who play single player shooters like me are okay, and 8 year olds who've never touched a controller before are fodder, just as you would expect. The leveling treadmill and constant rewards are fun, and some of the characters are charming.
From an objective perspective, I get why it's popular.

Poorly coded, full of bugs (even now that it was released long ago, spend lot of money for only skins, not original, lambda squeleton and design even the dance are not original...
My tall one (15 Yo) think the same... but play it daily... when i ask him "why do you play it then?" he anwser "i don't know, i don't know how to play other game..."
... damn Y generation lol ...
