And this makes sense. This or with extra thin fins / pins. SSDs don't produce much heat, but it's enough to get really hot, especially with limited air flow. Huge heatsinks, especially thick ones make very little sense. Like that Thermalright one, where there was huge copper bar without any real surface area. Here, you can get a sample - laptop put vertically with back cover removed. And it's no just after removing - it was like that whole day. This photo was taken when it was much warmer over here, and yes, I know I should replace the thermal pads for the graphics. Cooler rectangle over CPU - plastic handle.
