$260? That seems quite reasonable.

quite reasonable? --> Bro it's a STEAL 😀 1440p almost 10Bit and one downside tho the 60Hz, but it will be enough most of the time. For FPP i'd like to have min. of 70FPS/70Hz FS

Yeah pretty good price lads.

For $260 USD I'm considering this monitor assuming they don't go full robber and price it at $400 here or something. I'm just extremely hesitant to buy any VA panel, or anything that's not a variety of IPS for that matter (like PLS or AHVA which is not VA just to confuse us). If it was anything above 60Hz or was certified for any HDR standard (and confirmed working, unlike past VA BS) I'd definitely buy it. I'm in the market for a new monitor but what I really want is 1440p, GSync, 120Hz+, IPS variety, and HDR compliant. That doesn't exist as far as I know and the upcoming monitors with specs like that are 4K. I'd buy a non-HDR monitor with those specs in the meantime if they didn't cost their weight in gold. I'd feel dumb spending so much on a temporary monitor. $260 USD however... that doesn't sound too bad for a temporary monitor. I could also save a block of gold if nVidia weren't extortionists with their GSync module/license costs which seem to add a minimum of $250 to everything it exists in the same dimension as.

I wonder if it overclocks at all. 60Hz is too low. 75Hz should be the bare minimum these days, especially if you slap freesync on it.

@Neo Cyrus See if you can find the asus pb32q. Has amva+ panel, colors look close to ups but not fake, can do 60hz@10bit and 75@8bit, 12bit lookup, flicker free and one of the best non professional screens, even beating the benq using same panel..

Yeah, 60hz is too little. And I wonder if even at that size the resolution should be 4k

This AoC has been consistently great for me since I bought it awhile back. I like the idea of a 31.5" screen, but I do worry a bit about the dot pitch. At 27" it's perfect, really, as individual pixels are not visible. But this 31.5" is the same price as my 27", the same native res, but the TN panel (gorgeous) has a 1ms timing GTG, while the 31.5" has a 5ms timing, GTG. (Yes, that is an accurate timing number--;) I was skeptical at first, but it's accurate--no ghosting at all, not even a hint of it.) Would love to see HH do a review of this monitor if they'll send him one!

Hey, That looks nice with a nice price too!

Going by ppi, a FHD at 24" is like 91, 1440@32" is 93ppi. Unless you sit with you face sub 1ft away from the screen, no need for UHD res (as almost no one is running 4096 on monis) until you getting a bigger screen like in the 35-40" range. Im picky, and cant see pixels on my pb32 (1440p) until im closer than 22-23"..

FYI the screen runs 75Hz out of the box (running a gf960 gpu and DP). Got mine yesterday, paid $240. The only complaint I have is that when sitting closer than an arms lenght there is some gamma shift visible at the edges, not at all bad tough, like barely noticeable. Image quality is great, colors are fine, response time feels good, no ghosting to speak of. It's an impressive screen for this price that's for sure.

I saw a review about viewing angles being poor, and a blue tinge. Any opinions on that?

When sittning very close to the screen there is gamma shift at the edges wich makes the colors appear a bit washed out. I think thats what he meant, viewing angles are fine all-in-all. I'd recommend about 3ft viewing distance, at that distance the shift is not a problem. Regarding the blueish tinge.. I can't see it, maybe very very slightly, but really not noticable to me.
