My next card. Im aiming that upgrade from 6700xt to 7800xt i can wait little more :P

Seems like drivers are not there yet... not in a slight bit. Hopefully they can start getting RDNA3 drivers up and running as they should sooner than later, or reviews will destroy it.

I'll wait for 8000 series, or better yet, 9000 series. Think I'll get a 9800 Pro 😉

Seeing how nvidia delayed next gen gpus to 2025 im feeling amd will do the same. Thats a long time to wait i want more performance this year 🙂

The card I would have bought if it came at the same time with the 7900's. Unfortunately, it's very, very late, and while I paid a bit more on the 6800XT than the very cheap price it has today, I already got 6 months of use of it. I sincerely hope the market will fix itself before next gens, and there won't be this huge time gap between launch of high-end and launch of mid-range...

i need a new gpu now, either a 6800XT/6900XT or this 7800XT depending on the price. I hope it will be as fast as the 6900XT at least, with the same price the 6900XT currently has.

550-600$ with 16gb vram and better rt performance than 6000 series. I hope fsr3 comes around while there cards are released. It makes it even more appealing.

The difference between 6800XT and 6900XT is only about 8-10%, remember, they are based on the same silicon, just the 68 is cut down a bit while the 69 is full chip... if the 7800XT is only 10% faster than a 6800XT, that's a major fail. It needs to be at least 20% faster to even be considered an upgrade. --- The unfortunate reality is that AMD has backed itself into a corner with the "7900" naming, now it will have a hard time to produce an "800" chip that is a significant improvement over the previous "800" chip. The reality is that the 7900 XT is actually the successor to the 6800 XT, and they simply copied nvidia and their number shift-up (as well as the price). And it's kinda backfiring on them... observed by the slow but steady reduction in 7900 XT price. It's simply not selling well. List of 6000 and their proper 7000 successors (assuming naming rumors for the coming chips are correct), and matching prices: 6950 XT -> (nothing yet)* 6900 XT -> 7900 XTX 6800 XT -> 7900 XT (this should have been the $650 card from the get go, not 900, LOL) 6800 -> 7800 XT (no more than $550 launch price otherwise DOA) 6700 XT -> 7700 XT 6600 XT -> 7600 XT (no more than $300 today, as 6600XT was severely overpriced at launch) 6600 -> 7600 (no more than $250 today, which is the current selling price for 6600 on the good stores * I firmly believe AMD will launch a 7950 XTXXXXYZ or something once they fix the power efficiency and bad core utilization problems that Big Navi3 has (which remain unresolved via driver updates)

7900xt ware supposed to compete with 4080 12gb so when nvidia renamed it kinda screwed up amd naming scheme. I wonder if it will be ever 7800xt. Expected amd will release 7700xt and 7600xt while skip 7800xt this generation. I guess we'll see. 7800xt will have much better rt performance and fsr3 thats how amd could market it.

Apparently the navi 31 yields were really good so most of the chips were used for the 7900XTX, it wasn't viable to make a 7800XT based on navi 31 Imo they should name the full navi 32 card (60 compute units) 7700XTX or 7800

The scores seem to indicate that the cards tested is the upcoming 7700x and not the 7800xt, unless the latter is really bad...

I agree. 7800xtx sounds good 😀

So many X's and still can't handle RTX.

Told you, there'll be corrected n31 silicon too (7950xt/xtx). Boy, did early 7900xtx adopters get the short end of the stick this round..... first the cooler, now barely 6 months later a revised version of n31 is being prepared.

Even low-mid gpus 7700/7700xt having 16gb is the way to go, gj amd. 4070 12gb will have a shorter lifespan than 3070 did.

If the 7700XT has 4 MCD's then it will have 256 bit bus and 16GB
