Finally some Zen nip slips. Can't wait for more.
Also boss, theres a typo, "AMS" instead of AMD.

AMD making real CPUs again, I never thought I'd see the day...

I am hopeful for these. If they deliver might be my next upgrade step. Either that or Broadwell-E tho by then waiting for Skylake-X is not a bad option.......

This could be the death of AMD! If the clock really is 2.8GHz with 3.2GHz boost they will be laughed into bankruptcy court.

I hope they perform as well as the specs look! I wouldn't mind 16 threads 😀 I'm due for an upgrade in the coming 6-8 months...

AND a clockspeed means nothing.

I love these CPU threads. It unites most Intel owners (independent of GPU brand) to support AMD. 🙂
Me too, BTW. It's good for competition and maybe I'll buy one again in the future.

Finally some real specs on Zen. Somehow it feels like the old Athlon 64 days, hope i'm right, we really need AMD to get back in the game with CPU's.

Hello. My first comment in the forum.
I'm waiting for this cpu to upgrade my system.
8 cores, 16 threads, 95W TDP at stock, very low power consumption at idle, probably unlocked for overclock, 40% IPC faster than the last FX series, available for around 200€ after a couple of months from the launch.
You can use your old AM3+ cpu cooler on the AM4 socket (with inexpensive adapters in some cases). And the AM4 socket will be used by both Zen and APU cpus (and probably by the Zen+ series).
The 95W TDP allows a good overclock margin, with no need for custom water cooling. Air cooling will be fine for a 4-4.5GHz overclock.
There are all the premises for a success. If all these specs will be confirmed will be a terrific cpu.
I don't think Intel can offer something similar for the same price. You would need to pay at least 1000€ to bring home a modern cpu with 16 threads, and the Intel solution would consume way more power (6900K has a 140W TDP).

BLEH!
Looking good. SP3 is gunna be one BIIIIG socket!

That Zen 8C/16T looks mighty sweet.
Haswell(as rumored) IPC with 8c/16t? Isn't that CPU called 5960X? 😀
If they manage that(I wish they do), then AMD is going to be swimming in green dough!

This is happenes everytime. They hype their next gen cpu everytime.Bulldozer,Fx,APU evrytime they say this will change the market this that it.And nothing happened they failed miserably. So this time i am not going to excited i will wait when it launch and review its performance with its competitor.I wish AMD beat everyone and prove me wrong
