I know it's awesome and all, but isn't it kinda late? Now that 3D Stacked Ryzen is coming, with increased cache, something that Threadripper would benefit...? edit: It's Zen3+ 3D Cache Threadripper, mb

I can't wait to try one of these. So far the EPYC is the fastest CPU I have been able to try and we were only able to get two of them. We have more on order but we can't get them. I found a 24-core EPYC was faster than a 32-core Threadripper that had a higher clock rate. We are almost certain it is because of the bigger cache and better memory system of the EPYC. A Threadripper with a bigger cache might be just the thing for us, especially if we can actually get one. Right now no OEMs can get the EPYC CPUs we want and we can't find out who is getting them.

I'm planning on a 32 core workstation build next year. This is probably the way I will go.

I saw the Enfusion engine (ARMA 4) supports up to 16 cores... I am just wondering would it be better to go from 8 core Ryzen+3D cache to a 16 core ThreadRipper? I guess it will boil down to price per core and availability at this stage...
