Be nice to see what the AM4 versions are capable of

HP should learn that 15W belongs to 11.6~13.3" at most. Alienware packs into their 11.6" HW eating a lot. M11x eats 51W under full load. M11x R2 eats 53W under full load. M11x R3 eats 65W under full load. And you will not get decent AMD 15W APU in notebook under 15.6" from anyone. APU looks good, FX-8800P was good and this is better. But if HP again packs it with 4GB of ram in single channel and 1366x768...

Now we know why Sony is going for the PS4K upgrade. ...Expect an equal announcement from Microsoft at E3 2016. They both stem to gain so much, and Microsoft needs it way more for the Xbox brand.

Microsoft claim there will be no Xbone 1.5 or anything similar from them. They will not follow suit of Sony. Which is a shame really since the console does need a boost.

They'll probably try to sell the next console earlier with upgraded features. Or dx12 makes a broad appearance on XB1 earlier than anything on the PS4 happens, who knows.

Sony needs it for their VR headset. MS has no headset in the works, so no real reason to change specs. MS should cut the price of the XB1 when the PS4.5 launches, otherwise they are going to get stomped more than they already are.

We dont know if there will be a ps4.5 for a fact. Despite the numerous YouTube channels, everything announced so far have been nothing but rumors and hearsay.

If these are Excavator numbers in PCMark, I'm starting to be VERY hopeful for Zen and its promised +40% IPC over Excavator.

Yay HP ENVY x360 been wanting a AMD 2-1 for like forever but they never really materialised which is a shame and then the FX8800P throttling issues and what not didn't help matters with OEM's crippling the TDP. I still reserve judgement cause HP might screw this up too lol. Want to replace my over 3 year laptop. Screen is a bit knackered most likely ribbon issue since the screen screws up at certain angles, but since HP uses glue everywhere fixing looks like a bitch yet would be a simple fix. Really want a 2-1 got the wife the Yoga and i am quite impressed with it really except the screen quality isn't great debating on removing the so called screen protector i have been hearing about which apparently washing the colour and everything out.

Lets just hope OEM's don't screw these APU's like some of the previous ones by using single channel.

So Zen might reach the performance level between haswell and skylake with the ipc. Not that bad actually. So broadwell essentially. It would give amd a nice boost. It might give us some options on the market...

As much as I want that to be true, we need to remember that if amd says 40% better ipc, it is only in the best case scenario. My best guess is that it'll be about 20% slower than Haswell in ipc.

Even that could be tolerable if the same money bought a true 8-core CPU compared to Intel's 4-core plus hyperthreading placebo. After all, software is finally starting to put more cores to use efficiently. Although I'd still like to believe it's not that much slower by core. But considering AMD's lack of money, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if it was.

I will say this much about Amd"s apus ( just my opinion ) If they can make something like a 6-8 core apu with 1000 Gpu-stream porssesors then I think they will have a winner on there hands, Hell even my kids A10 7870k is sutable to play all my games in my Steam library. The future for them is Apu's I think.

They screw that because of Intel, you know, nothing on CPU market will be moved or sell without Intel involvement. They can do that with every OEM.
