Do you mean PCI-E 4.0?

I have been a little confused with the 2000 series of threadripper...
Correct me if i'm wrong but the 2000 series of threadripper has the improvements that the 2000 series of ryzens had right? The better boost technology, and etc.?
But with Ryzen that requires you to have a 400 series motherboard to get those improvements, right?
But with threadripper...it doesn't?
If that's true is it because the x399 was released far enough after the main series that it was already aware of what would be coming? Or is there no PB2 or something similar and only a 12nm version of the 1000 series?
Point of my question is it seems strange that we didn't get a x499 at the release time for the 2000 series of threadripper since it was a requirement for the main ryzen series to have an x400 series motherboard if you wanted all the benefits of the ryzen 2000 series

I bet it will come with 8Ch memeory support to compete against Intel's 28C 6ch memory , and also X499 should support the TR 3000 and so it cannot be limited by 4ch memory 🙂.

Well eventually just stealing intel numbers for chipset is a nice game.
I do not know if we can bump up memory channels, they said the platform would be supported up to 2020, i guess we will keep 4 channel till that date?
Maybe just precison boost 2? xfr2?

I do not have insider information about this chipset, but there is about Zen 2. Most likely these are just speculations.
