Amazing! It will be mine... one day. My 1950x has been epic since I have had it, the 2990WX looks insane!

We'll excuse the pun 🙄

I am thinking about 2950X, not that I need more cores than 1800x have, but because of lack of PCI-e lanes.

Just look at this Epyc 32c Overclocking:over 6000pts in CB R15! [youtube=yiHscW5Scfc]

If you really are PCIE lane starved then that is not a bad choice. If you aren't really PCIe starved today, which is a little hard to do on desktop, might think about a Ryzen upgrade late 2019 early 2020 to pick up PCIE 4.0. Hopefully PCIE 4.0 it comes with Zen 2.

Exactly, I would rather seen PCIe 4.0/5.0. It solves so many things.

Dear guru3dians tell me why all Amd threads always have more stars than Nvidia Intel ones? Can you stop your propaganda please? Get a real proper life. And stop rating fanboyism intended. On topic, great cpu it seems, I can't wait for zen 2 already with new technologies, but, I can't hide the beauty of ability to use same socket as 1st Gen threadripper. Users with big pocket are surely gonna upgrade to this new baby.

How 2990X gonna be benched? most Benchmarks that are used in CPU reviews are not capable use all the 64 threads.

For those of you wondering, the stars are to the right of the article title. They're pretty small and easy to miss. I'm not sure if you actually get to click them, so I don't know what exactly they represent. Maybe article popularity (by view count)?

Uh... you're not the best person to speak on behalf of fanboyism...

You can rate the articles at the bottom of each one

Correct, users/readers can rate a news item (ever since 2012). And indeed there has been an individual (for months already) that really likes to rate many if not all news items with 1 star, aside from his preferred topics and brand preference.

There are some strange folks around lol aside from that I am enjoying all these new cores AMD are making available to us though 🙂

Glad I still have Warlord blocked. What a complete bag of douche he is. Man, if only I could get one of these to replace my dual X5550 server with 16 threads lol and 24GB DRR3 1333.

I never really noticed the rating system, to be honest. @Hilbert Hagedoorn if it helps with any sort of statistics, could you perhaps make it more visible? Anyway, rated 5 stars. Not that this doesn't deserve any less, but I did that just to spite this fellow @warlord. Why not.
