Oh heck, bought a 1600 AF for 95€ for a friend. Now, to think about, 3600 is almost double here in Spain. But welcomed opportunity to those who don't get a Ryzen.

Nice. Does this mean the 4000's maybe be coming sooner than hoped?? The 3900x looks very tempting.

$175 for the 3600. That’s a fucking steal. That auto change for the explicit language I used is too funny.

Might be moving to undercut Comet Lake already

That or Zen3 is coming sooner. Not sure which way I lean as Comet Lake shouldn't be much of an improvement and Zen3 was later this year. Something is up for sure.

These are already pretty normal prices here if u catch a sale. It's getting really hard to pass up but I already have the 1600 and 2600 in my PC's at home I'm trying to skip the 3000 series and hopefully drop 4600 or 4700 in my mobo if they're still am4

the main improvement by comet lake are prices, i7 will be like actual i9 9900k (8/16) but with price of i7 9700k, its really scary to amd

I think this is a good sign for Zen3 AMD wants to move as much Zen2 before Zen3 drops.

I'm in the same shoes as you, and waiting for Zen3 too, and if Zen3 is really the last AM4 socket cpu family, then maybe i'm waiting for Zen4 release more because than Zen3 will be cheaper.:D The 2600 not the fastest cpu, true, but it isn't that slowest either so i can easily use it for 1-2 years more.

I got the 3700X and wanted the 3950X, but i'll wait till Zen 3 as it seems to have bigger improvements.

The 3700x is no slouch by any means. I have one myself and really love it.

Just snagged--yesterday--a 3900X from Amazon for $419--but that was just part of it--the main clincher was the five-months, same as cash, no interest deal Amazon was offering! Even when you just sort-of want something, maybe--that kind of temptation is too much to resist. (Unfortunately, it appears that Amazon cancelled the 5-months SAC payment option the day after I ordered! I had no idea how close to the wire my order was--I had seen the deal offered some weeks ago but talked myself out of it then.) I'm in awe of this thing--hitting 4.67GHz single core boost on four cores--a fifth and sixth core boost to ~4.4GHz. But really, the show stopper is that this thing (12c/24t) doubled my 3600X's (6c/12t) performance in every single mutlithreaded app and benchmark I own--and sometimes it runs better than a linear 2x performance difference! The scaling is phenomenal. I want to also state that the included Wraith Prism cooler is an order of magnitude better than the Wraith Spire I had with the 3600X--that thing was a bit on the noisy side. This Prism I'm running at 80% normally and it isn't even audible with the side cover off! I had planned on keeping the 3600X going until later this year to see what Zen3 looks like, but I realized that if I buy one I probably won't until 2021, so I'll stick with this one for at least a year.
