This is really good news for the people interested in buying an HT 8 core CPU. Especially the R7 1700 Ryzen CPU which is less than 400 EUR.

Those prices look really good, now let's hope the performance is adequate.

Here a 7700k can cost up to 450 Euro easy

Always talking about price but atm we need a review ...
7700k price :Bentez
Will the 3 chips listed here have unlocked overclocking? if so what is the main difference between them or did i miss that?

Hm, taking this with a grain of salt given that I cannot comprehend currently what the difference between a 1700 and 1700X in that scenario would be.
Those two certainly do look interesting however.
If it turns out they're all the same but binned differently we might be in for some nice OC results.

Hopefully samples for well known testers should be out in 2-3 weeks, so we could get a performance peek before release.

Almost double the cost for a 400Mhz boost increase. Something is not adding up here. I'm getting a sinking feeling something will be locked down in the non-x sku's.

R5 1600X, 6C 12T is the one I'm most interested in.
If they get the price between a 7600K and 7700K & comes within 10% of Kaby Lake IPC & clock speeds, it should be a winner.
Undying
I would still rather buy a 8c/16t CPU than a 4c/8t.
R7 1700 for 380Eur for the same price as i7 7700k.

considering Intel 4 channel memory, maybe the "Pro" is for that....

No R9 line...
So what? The only thing that matter is performance (aka execution time) of your target application.

this isn't either good or bad...without any test\review we just don't know yet

Looking good! I wish all the best to AMD.
BUT: Having so many (older?!) games that max out one (1) CPU core, where 4.0 - 4.5 GHz isn't enough, I would prefer a 6GHz+ quad cores over a 4GHz octo cores...
Also, the now old AMD's Phenom IIs were having a TDP of 125W while those newer CPUs have 65 to 95W. I would really prefer a newer 14nm CPU with a TDP of 125+W that performs like a BEAST!
We have to realize that those electronic manufacturers prioritize newer CPU designs that perform better (more efficiently(Perf/Watt)) rather than offering drastically faster CPUs... Soon, only a 100W Power supply would suffice for a High End gaming machine (barely outperforming a decade old overclocked 1000W PC)

140W tdp + 14nm..

These prices look to be about what I expected, now we just need reviews so we can see the real world performance numbers. I expect the R7 1700X and R7 1800X 95W parts to have a bit more overclocking headroom than the R7 1700 65W.

Nice TDP for an 8 core CPU, and the price is very competitive for those who really can make use of 6+ core.
For pure gaming, I don't know if can compete with i7 7700K with current games, and maximum OC will be relevant.

@sarsar
not sure why i would be interested in a 7700k, when i can get double the cores with similar ipc (from what we've seen) for a few bucks more.
i rather spend ~400 for 8C/16T amd, than ~300 for intels 5820...
unless you limit the use to gaming only... (which im not).
