Second!
Thanks for the review Hilbert, a pleasure to read (especially last page).
I guess I will go red with my next upgrade (probably 2021).

It's not 1st of April, right?

Ez paper launch.

I've been trying on amazon but they're all gone in a flash. Maybe next year...

Like alot of us I imagine I've been waiting for this for awhile - these look good enough in gaming that I've finally been able to make the decision to buy and not "keep waiting"
I guess it's time to put together a CPU/MOBO/RAM combo over the next few days and pull that trigger - hopefully availability isn't too tough - these look really good

I was not expecting results that good. The 5900X is 4c/8t less than the 3950X yet offers almost the same performance.
These models have 3 chiplets (including the IO die) right? Aren't some models like the 3800X supposed to have 2? Because if so, I sure am excited to see the results of those.

Gratz AMD, but I will wait for Intel offer coming next spring.

Amazing performance. Now to pair it with 6800xt and your set.

Nice review.
"We gave it away already in the very first lines of this review; the original ZEN design was bronze, ZEN2 silver, and ZEN3 truly is gold." - Agree. My sentiments as I was reading along.
Finally AMD has beaten Intel in most areas. This is when the true competition is starting. With Intel having Rocket Lake coming followed by Zen4 it will certainly be another good year for CPU's in 2021.

Just bought one (5950X)... - limited to only one per client and there where 10+ in stock
The price was more or less in the MSRP limits = 880 euro...but that's what happens when you want something day one.

Gone in a space of couple of minutes in most EU shops I looked.

Wow, I knew this day was coming. I hope AMD GPU launch won't have issues with drivers, and CPU + GPU combo might happen sooner rather than later for me. Amazing what they achieved in such short time-frame.
This is what most of us would call tangible progress, and not 5-10% perf. increase that Intel was calling progress with their 4 core counterparts.
Exciting times ahead, I wonder what next three years hold for us in CPU and GPU markets.
